The Empowerment Zone (EZ) initiative is a comprehensive redevelopment program that affords cities throughout the country the opportunity to revitalize aging infrastructure, strengthen communities, attract new industries/businesses, and create new jobs.

To develop regional partnerships that will enhance the economic, social educational, and environmental conditions of those who live, work or do business in the Empowerment Zone area

YOUTH EMPOWERMENT ZONE

The Youth Empowerment Zone (YEZ) is a program designed to offer business, economic development, community revitalization, and leadership training for youths ages 16-24.

Participants will complete a 12-week Junior Achievement Company Program followed by 4-6 weeks of basic economic development training. The program also features a community development project, field trips and guest speakers from business, banking and industry.
